If the word “stock” ever feels confusing, read it as “the goods I sell” — that is exactly what it means.
Goods, stock, inventory — same thing
EazyStock sometimes uses the everyday word goods, and sometimes the professional words stock or inventory. They all mean the same thing: the products on your shelves that you buy and sell.
- Goods / Stock — the items you sell (e.g. a carton of Indomie, a bag of rice, a phone).
- Goods In / Stock In — goods coming into your shop (a supply or restock). This adds to your count.
- Goods Out / Stock Out — goods leaving your shop (a sale, damage or adjustment). This reduces your count.
- Available Goods — how many you have right now.
- Low Goods / Low Stock — an item that is running out.
How to record them
- Buying new goods? Use Record Supply (Goods In) — add the product, the cost price, and how many you received.
- Sold something? Record a sale — EazyStock reduces your goods automatically.
- Damaged or used internally? Use a quick Goods Out with a reason.
Example
You run a provisions store. You buy 20 cartons of milk (that is Goods In). A customer buys 2 cartons (that is a sale, so Goods Out). EazyStock now shows 18 available goods — automatically.
